Revere Police seek help identifying carjack suspect

REVERE ? Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an alleged carjacking and kidnapping that led to a manhunt in Melrose on Friday.According to a post on the Revere Police Facebook page, two men were picked up by a taxi in the area of Tremont and Waltham streets in Boston and then jumped out of the taxi at the Northgate Shopping Center to evade paying their fare.The two men then allegedly sped off in an SUV in which a 14-year-old boy had been sitting and waiting for his mother as she shopped.The two men drove to Melrose and then fled on foot. The boy was unharmed. Melrose Police asked residents to remain in their homes Friday afternoon while officers searched for the suspects.
