NAHANT ? State Police are investigating a near-drowning on Nahant Beach early Sunday evening in which a 59-year-old woman was taken to the hospital.State Police responded to Nahant Beach near the Ward Bathhouse at 6:55 p.m. Sunday on the report of a near drowning, Trooper Daniel Richard said Sunday night.He said the victim was identified as a 59-year-old female who was taken from the scene to Salem Hospital. State troopers from the Revere barracks and troopers assigned to the Essex District Attorney’s Office are further investigating the incident, Richard said.
