LYNN – A city man agreed to be held without bail pending trial and stipulated that he was a danger to a woman whom he allegedly twice choked to the point where she blacked out.Oliver Taylor, 24, of 1 Kingsley Terrace #1, pleaded not guilty in Lynn District Court Aug. 1 to kidnapping; two counts of attempted murder; and two counts of domestic assault and battery.Police reported responding to the Kingsley Terrace apartment early Aug. 1 where the alleged victim told officers Taylor had strangled her and then slammed her against the tub the previous night.The alleged victim told police she blacked out for a few seconds and regained consciousness when convulsing. The alleged victim alleged that a second assault occurred earlier that morning when Taylor threw her against the bedroom wall and strangled her, again causing her to black out.Officers reported “dark marks which appeared to be finger-shaped bruises” on the alleged victim. But the alleged victim said she “was not sure if they were old or new” because Taylor had assaulted her in the past.At Taylor’s arraignment, a court-appointed attorney stipulated to probable cause for Taylor to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Thursday.On Thursday, Taylor stipulated to being found a danger and agreed to being held without bail pending trial, according to court documents. The alleged victim requested, however, that a no-contact order be removed, which Judge Cathleen Campbell accepted.Taylor is scheduled to return to court Sept. 9.
