LYNN – Registration is now open for fall session clay working classes at The Clay School.Kids Hand-building Class: Teaches all the fun stuff that kids love about clay – using their imaginations, making functional gifts for their parents – as well as the major techniques of working with clay. Ages 5-10; instructor: Erica; Friday, 3:15-4:15 p.m., Oct. 3-Nov. 14; cost $130. Pre-registration is required and class size is limited to a maximum of eight students.Kids Wheel Class: An intimate class that will give the kids the opportunity to learn how to work on the potters wheel. The small class size is perfect for this age group when learning a skill like wheel-throwing. Ages 8-12; instructor: Erica; Friday, 4:30-6 p.m., Oct. 3-Nov. 14; cost $210. Pre-registration is required and class size is limited to a maximum of six students.Adult clay classes: Covers both wheel-throwing and hand-building, and students are encouraged to explore both. Create usable pottery on the wheel while also creating sculptural projects using hand-building techniques. Classes are open to all levels and pre-registration is required, limited to a maximum of 12 students. Adult classes run Sept. 2-Oct. 24; $275 for eight weeks.
