Dreamed a Dream made a bold late rally to catch the front-running favorite Doublicious and win the $25,000 First Episode Stakes for the second consecutive year, completing a mile and seventy yards in 1:45 4/5.Doublicious, the 1-5 favorite and a multiple local stakes winner, broke sharply and set the early pace. Dreamed a Dream launched her move from off the pace and ran down the front-runner in deep stretch before drawing off comfortably by 6 3/4 lengths to earn the fifth stakes win of her career.?She had speed to run at today and it really set up for her,” said jockey James Vail. “She ran her race and she ran really big.”Bred by trainer Robert Raymond, the five-year-old daughter of Agnes Gold (JPN) returned $15.00, 3.80 and 2.60. Doublicious paid $2.20 and 2.10 while Shelly?s Cider returned $2.40.Dyn Panell dominated Monday?s seven-race card at Suffolk Downs with three winners on the day.Panell kicked off his hat trick in the opener with a well-timed ride aboard Joanie?s Gem ($4.00) for George Brown. He teamed up with William Sienkewicz for a front-running score with Think Tank ($5.80) in the fifth race. In the sixth race, he guided Frank Bertolino?s homebred Vinny?s Wildcat ($4.60) to a three-length score as the favorite in the featured race for John Rigattieri.Jockey Taylor Hole hit a triple on Wednesday at Suffolk Downs with three winners on the ten-race card.Hole kicked off his three-win day in the third race with a front-running score aboard My Diamond Gal ($5.20) for Tom McCooey Jr. He then teamed up with David Jacobson to take the fourth race with Mrs. Bean ($6.60) and the featured eighth race with Alpaca Fina ($11.80).Hole is currently third in the jockey standings with 30 victories, three behind Dyn Panell and eleven from David Amiss.This Saturday at Suffolk Downs, eight Massachusetts-bred three-year-old fillies will compete in the $25,000 First Episode Stakes. The race will be contested at six furlongs.Headlining the field is Sultan?s Princess, installed as the morning line favorite at 8-5. She will break from the outside post under jockey Gary Wales. Though a maiden from four starts, she has been competing against open company. A homebred for trainer Tim Kirby, she is the first and only foal by local stakes-winning stallion Sultan?s Prince.The First Episode Stakes is the sixth race on Saturday?s nine-race card. Post time is 12:45 p.m.
