PEABODY ? Police pulled the body of a young man from Spring Pond on Sunday morning but said they do not suspect foul play in the death.Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s office identified the deceased as a 20-year-old Peabody man.A person walking near Spring Pond on Saturday called Peabody Police to report finding someone’s abandoned personal belongings, Peabody Police said in a press release.Responding police reported finding mostly clothing as well as some personal items, which enabled officers to identify the owner of the property. That person’s relatives said the man had left some time earlier and left some things behind, which was out of character, police said.Police began searching the area but did find the individual. The Salem Police Dive Team found and recovered the body on Sunday morning, according to the press release. The incident is under investigation by the Peabody Police Department and the district attorney’s office. Police said foul play is not suspected.
