MARBLEHEAD – Police said two young men were seriously injured in a rollover accident on Humphrey Street Monday night.Marblehead Police reported responding to the area of Thompson Road and Humphrey Street at 5:03 p.m. Monday on multiple calls of a rollover accident. Marblehead Police Chief Robert Picariello said officers arrived at the scene to find a car on its roof and a parked pickup truck damaged.Picariello said a 24-year-old Swampscott man and a 28-year-old Marblehead man had been in the car while the truck was unoccupied.The Marblehead Police log said one individual was trapped in the car and the other individual was ejected; both men were taken to Salem Hospital and then Boston hospitals with serious injuries.Police closed Humphrey Street between Tents Corner (the intersection of Humphrey, Lafayette and Pleasant streets) and Tedesco Street as members of the State Police Accident Reconstruction Team and Crime Scene Services responded to the scene, according to the police log.Picariello said the cause of the accident remained under investigation.
