Fourth Annual Saugus Alumni Baseball Game set for Sept. 27

SAUGUS – The Fourth Annual Saugus Alumni Baseball Game will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. at World Series Park. Teams will be made up mainly of players from the late ’70s to early ’90s. An opening ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. followed by the game.The past three years were such a huge success, the committee planning this year’s event decided to repeat what was done. As someone who’s attended said, “It’s like a big reunion.” It will include food, raffles, a moon bounce for the children and much more.This is being sponsored by the Saugus Diamond Club whose members are former Saugus baseball players and people who support the future of baseball in Saugus. This is a fundraiser for Saugus baseball and those attending are asked to be generous in their donations.Game sponsors are Stop & Shop, Target Stores, Bianco & Sons Italian Sausage of Revere, Perfect Parties USA, Ninety Nine Restaurant and Five Guys Burgers & Fries.Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
