To say that it was a weird opener for the Beverly and Haverhill football teams would be quite an understatement.After the teams saw the game halted because of inclement weather late in the third quarter on Saturday with the Hillies leading 21-6, the teams had to return to venerable Haverhill Stadium yesterday morning to finish the game.The Panthers came out on fire, ripping off a pair of touchdowns to tie the game, but Haverhill had the final say as Samie Al-Ziab plowed into the end zone in the final seconds to give the Hillies a 28-21 victory.Haverhill spurted out to a 21-0 lead early as Ian Kessel scored before quarterback Broghan McGovern scored on a pair of touchdown runs.
