Danny Hingston got the hat trick Tuesday afternoon as Swampscott defeated Gloucester, 4-2, in a home game.Max Carbone got the opener to put the Big Blue up 1-0 at halftime before Hingston struck for three in the final 40 minutes. It was his first career hat trick.?This is really the best game he played so far in his varsity career,” said Swampscott coach Eric Robinson. “We had a lot of team defense, with a lot of guys tracking back to help out.”Eric Green made eight saves for the 2-1 Big Blue.Revere 3, Classical 0At Manning Field, the Rams (2-1) found themselves in a hole early and they struggled to recover.?It was 1-0 at the half. As we got into the second half, we had to push some guys forward and Revere made a couple of nice plays,” Classical coach Rob Upton said. “Revere plays a good style of soccer. They control the ball. They played very well.”Classical had a nice game defensively from Daniel Ssozi and strong midfield play from Peter Mafo.Revere?s goals came from Mattheas Carvallo (2), who scored the first two, and Mateo Cespedes on a penalty kick.Beverly 5, English 0At Beverly, all four Panther scorers got their first varsity goals. Naheul Pittamiglio had two, with Brendan Chan, Sean Leahy and Sean Hanlon scoring one apiece.Justin Carnavale and Mike Slavin shared the shutout for the 2-0 Panthers.Peabody 3, Salem 1At Peabody, Joao Correia scored to give Peabody a 1-0 lead on an assist from Christian Morales, but Nathan Russell tied it for the Witches 14 minutes into the second half on his first goal of the season.However, Ben Manoogian scored twice for Peabody after that, with assists from Connor Wolff and Nick Bettencourt, respectively.Kevin Bena played well on defense for Peabody.?They definitely had a little momentum shift in the second half,” Salem coach Michael Collins said.Medford 1, Marblehead 0At Marblehead, the Mustangs scored the only goal in the 30th minute.?It was a tough play,” said Marblehead coach Scott Laramie. “We were working the ball around and they stripped one of our players.”The Magicians had plenty of chances, hitting the crossbar on a set play, and missing a free kick from 20 yards out.Laramie said the Magicians had strong midfield play and strong defense.Tech 0, Gr. Lawrence 0At Lawrence, it was a strong defensive game, said coach Fred Gallo.?We just couldn?t put the ball in the net,” he said.Tyler Beliveau got the shutout for the 1-1-1 Tigers.In Monday?s game, KIPP started its season with a 2-2 tie against Boston Collegiate Charter School.Jurvet Nkeng-Leke scored an early goal off an assist from senior team captain Jesse Giron. After two quick goals in response from Boston Collegiate, Nkeng-Leke struck again to tie it at 2 right before the end of the first half on an opportunistic volley in the box, which was assisted by junior captain Diego Martinez.Goalkeeper Jordanny Delgado had 12 saves. The Panthers play again tonight at home (7) against Community Charter School of Cambridge.
