LYNN – The Friends of Lynn Heritage State Park and the Highlands Coalition has organized its annual World Music Fest, Saturday from 1-6 p.m. at Heritage State Park, featuring a variety of cultural music performances and a Pete Seeger Tribute sing-along.”Whether you like to listen, dance, sing or eat good food, observe artists at work, paint leaves, or walk around the waterfront, come and enjoy this event,” said David Gass, one of the event’s founders and organizers.Scheduled to perform are:Fargnign: Yiddish, Russian choir, 1 p.m.Cultural Latino Group: youthful dancers, 1:15 p.m.Jossue Giron: 6-year-old singer, 2 p.m.Women of the World: World music, 2:15 p.m.Cape Cod African Dance and Drum, 3:30 p.m.Seeger Tribute Band, 4:30 p.m.KAYA kids, 5:15 p.m.Walnut da Musical Genie, 5:40 p.m.World Music Fest is supported in part by a grant from the Lynn Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
