IPSWICH — Acting Police Chief Jonathan Hubbard this morning announced that the second lightning strike victim on Crane Beach in the Sept. 6 storm has died.Marianne Mellnick, age 69, of Concord, died on Saturday at Massachusetts General Hospital.”This is a terrible tragedy that has struck our community, and I join the Ipswich Police and Fire Departments and the entire town in offering our most sincere condolences to the Mellnick family,” Hubbard said.
