SAUGUS – Saugus Police arrested two Dorchester men early Monday morning shortly after a neighbor reported seeing the two men jumping out of the side window of a Lincoln Avenue electronics store.”This was a swift show of force by the Saugus Police Department in responding to a break-in and arresting the two suspects right away,” Saugus Police Chief Domenic DiMella said in a statement. “I applaud the aggressive work of the Saugus Police Department in sending a stern message to would-be burglars.”Jose M. Correia, 48, of 89 Brook Ave., Dorchester, and Jamile Rios, 20, of 93 Brook Ave. #1, Dorchester, were arrested and each charged with nighttime felony breaking and entering; receiving stolen property +$250; and destruction of property +$250; at 1:12 a.m. Monday.Rios was additionally charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.Saugus Police responded to Superior Radio and Security on Lincoln Avenue at 1:20 a.m. Monday on an alarm and a 911 call from a neighbor reporting a possible break-in, according to the Saugus Police log.Police noticed a damaged front door and broken window at the business on arriving at the scene, according to DiMella. A neighbor reported that two suspects jumped into a black Mercedes and headed toward Cliftondale Square, according to the log.Police located a car matching this description; Rios was driving and Correia was in the passenger seat.”Inside the car, in plain view, officers saw several pieces of electronics that matched products known to be sold at the business that had been burglarized,” police said in the statement. “After speaking with the owner of the business, the electronics were matched by serial number to the store they were stolen from.”Police also reported recovering glass on Rios that matched the thickness of the broken storefront window. Officers also found a cellphone inside the store that was believed to belong to one of the suspects, police said. The suspects were arraigned in Lynn District Court Monday and held on $2,500 cash bail each, according to the department.
