LYNN – A judge ordered a Saugus teen held without bail pending trial after she, her boyfriend and another man allegedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl on video. The alleged assault was then distributed via mobile phone.Police reported subsequently finding the alleged victim in the woods half-naked, alone and under the influence.”(The alleged victim) was reported to be extremely impaired and uncooperative,” Saugus Police Det. Frank Morello wrote in a report. “She had to be carried from the scene on a backboard as she was unable to walk.”Kailyn Bonia, 18, of 7 Woodbury Ave., Saugus, pleaded not guilty to assault to rape; indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over; posing/exhibiting a child in a sexual act; and kidnapping; at her Sept. 12 arraignment in Lynn District Court.Police reported responding to behind the Waybright School on Sept. 3 where a man said his daughter showed him a video on Snapchat, a messaging application that allows users to take and immediately send images and videos via mobile phone, in which the daughter’s former friend appeared naked.Police searched the nearby woods and reported finding the alleged victim lying in the bushes underneath a tree. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors reported the alleged victim lost consciousness and had to be revived with two doses of Narcan, according to police. Narcan reverses opiate overdoses.Although videos, photographs and other media sent over Snapchat can only be viewed for up to 10 seconds, police were able to record the images. Court documents indicate the images show Bonia holding the alleged victim by the neck and fondling her. Another image allegedly shows Bonia trying to force the alleged victim to perform oral sex on a co-defendant. A second co-defendant allegedly films and sends out the video.Court documents also indicate doctors confirmed a sexual assault had occurred.Court documents indicate Bonia used her one phone call at booking to warn her co-defendant, her boyfriend, and he has subsequently fled the state.Police have sought warrants for each co-defendant. One will be charged with the same charges as Bonia: assault to rape; indecent assault and battery on a person over 14; posing a child for sexual photographs; and kidnapping. The second co-defendant will be charged with assault to rape, joint venture; indecent assault and battery on a person over 14, joint venture; posing a child for sexual photographs; dissemination of child pornography; and kidnapping.Neither of the male co-defendants had been arrested as of Monday evening, according to a representative for Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.Essex Assistant District Attorney Danielle Doherty-Wirwicz requested at Bonia’s arraignment that the defendant be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.Assistant District Attorney Kate MacDougall requested at the dangerousness hearing that Bonia be found a danger and be held pending trial.Judge Ellen Flatley accepted the request and ordered Bonia held without bail for up to 120 days. Bonia is scheduled to return to Lynn District Court Oct. 16.A public defender representing Bonia said Monday he could not comment on the case.
