New thrill rides debut at Topsfield Fair

TOPSFIELD – Are you ready to feel like you are on fire or would you rather live the life of a pirate? Either way, the 2014 Topsfield Fair can help with two new rides.Strap in and take a loop on the Fire Ball. Riders sit in a roller coaster-style cage and are taken upside down 60 feet above the ground on this 360 degree looping roller coaster. Halfway through the ride, the ride operator will stop the train at the top of the loop and reverse it for an added thrill.You can also sail away on a pirate adventure with the new Seven Seas ride. This platform ride whisks riders left to right and over the top in a fast-pace motion.In addition to these rides, there is fun for all ages on the Merry-Go-Round, Super Slide, Tilt-A-Whirl, Freak Out, Remix, and many, many more!The 2014 Topsfield Fair opens today, and the New England Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off is from 4-10 p.m. in the fairgrounds arena.
