Roundup: KIPP volleyball shuts down Salem Academy

The KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate volleyball team brought down Salem Academy in three straight sets, 25-23, 26-24, 25-20, Monday at Salem.Pleilerkay Gaye was the driving force for the Panthers with strong net play and a solid passing game. Piper Newhall and Abby Dimare played well for Marblehead.Beverly 6, Peabody 0At Beverly, Sara Evangelista was a bright spot for the Tanners with her solid play at halfback. Peabody (4-4-3) trailed 1-0 at the half, but Beverly scored four goals in a matter of seven minutes early in the second half to put the game out of reach.
