The Swampscott boys soccer team jumped out ahead of Danvers early and hung on for a 3-2 win over the feisty Falcons, 3-2, Thursday at Danvers.?We have been very competitive the last few weeks, and have finished on the wrong side of many close games,” Swampscott coach Eric Robinson said. “It was nice to pull this one out, and be on the winning side.”Swampscott?s Danny Hingston and Gray Rosa scored a goal each in the first half. Danvers scored two goals early in the second half to tie the game, but Rosa delivered the game-winner for the Big Blue (4-8) with 20 minutes remaining. Ben Manoogian and Joao Correia scored a goal each in the first 10 minutes of the second half to give Peabody a 2-1 lead. Bobby Caproni added an insurance goal for the Tanners with 14 minutes left on the clock.St. Mary?s 4, Northeast 1At Manning Field, the Spartans jumped out to a 3-1 lead at the end of the first half. Noah Camelo and Daniel Montoya had a goal and an assist each in the game. Freshman Christopher Garcia and Kevin Ester (penalty kick) rounded out the scoring for the Spartans, who extended their winning streak to 12 (12-1).Salem 4, English 0At Bertram Field, the Witches led 3-0 at the half. Matt Dias found the back of the net to give Revere a 1-0 lead midway through the first half, but the Panthers tied the game on a goal by Peter Coletti with four minutes remaining in the game.Abel Alcantar controlled the midfield for the Patriots (6-2-2).
