The Lynn Classical volleyball team continues to have an outstanding season as the Rams rolled to a 3-0 victory over Salem at home Tuesday.
The Rams (13-4) won 25-6, 25-17 and 25-9 against the Witches. Soneta Srey led the attack for Classical with five kills. Lindsey Tobin and Cassie D?Agostino had 14 service points each.
Tobin had six service points in the first set with Ivy Martin adding five. Martin also was immense at the net in the second set as she had four kills and a block to help hold off a Salem charge.
The Rams return to the court on Thursday (5) for senior night against arch rival Lynn English.
Lynnfield 3, Reading 0
At Lynnfield, the Pioneers (13-2) had to sweat out a 25-23 second set win but breezed 25-16 and 25-13 in the first and third to complete the sweep. Senior Emma Mancini was immense at the net, putting away 25 kills and adding 17 digs. Sophomore Sarah Mezini added 13 assists and four aces.
Peabody 3, Beverly 1
At Peabody, the Tanners (15-1, 14-0 NEC North) split the first two sets before taking the final two 25-15 and 25-12 to get the win. Emily Diezemann had nine kills and three blocks with Julia Brown having seven kills and Marina DeMild adding six.
Hannah Kemp had 15 assists while Melissa Gray added nine.
Swampscott 3, Saugus 0
At Saugus, the Big Blue (5-10) swept to 25-12, 25-22 and 25-17 victories over the Sachems. Outside hitter Gina Asipenko led the way with 15 kills, three aces and two blocks. Taylor MacBurney had five kills while setter Leanne Nisbet had two kills, five aces and 25 assists.
Revere 3, English 0
The loss moves English to 0-14-1, as the Bulldogs lost by scores of 25-22, 25-4 and 25-17. Coach Laurie Wentzell said that Jasmin Chhim played well. “She had a lot of nice digs, and a couple of nice hits,” she said.
KIPP 3, Boston Prep 0
At KIPP, on senior night, the Panthers won 25-5, 25-13 and 25-4.
Tarra Brice was big at the net and had a couple of great hits over for points, while Briana Collins had multiple serves to start the third game off strong.
?The girls played well, said coach LaurenEstebanell. “Overall, the girls played well, and were able to set up some great hits by Pleilerkaye Gaye, Jilliana Rodriguez, and Jassy Kim.”
KIPP is third in the Massachusetts Charter SchooL Athletic Organization with a 10-2 record, heading into Monday?s game against undefeated Foxboro.

Lynnfield Rockport 0
At Lynnfield, Bailey Fanikos scored on a corner from Stefania DeAngelis in the first half and then scored on a pass from Kathleen Hamm in the second half to give the Pioneers are 2-0 lead. Marianne Oliveri scored the third goal with Fanikos getting another assist.
Lynnfield is 13-0-2 in the Cape Ann League and 15-0-2 overall.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Lynnfield 18, N. Reading 39
At Lynnfield, Tia Patterson breezed to first place overall in 18:39 as the Pioneers closed out the dual meet season 4-6. Marie Norwood was second in a personal best of 19:22 with teammate Leena Aurora third (20:43) and Christina Irrera, fourth (20:57).
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
N. Reading 18, Lynnfield 42
At Lynnfield, Alex Dalielo was third overall in a personal best 17:05.Ryan Iapicca was seventh (17:49) and Zach Shone took 11th (18:23).

At Kernwood CC in Salem, the Eagles (14-2-1) got a 12-foot birdie putt from Griffin Chenard on the final hole to pull out the win in a battle of Catholic Conference heavyweights.
Chris Francoeur led the Prep with a 36 while James Turner and Colin Natale carded 38?s. Mark Turner and Chenard finished with 39?s.
