Nahant school to benefit from new partnership

NAHANT – The Nahant Education Foundation announced a new Marine and Environmental Science enrichment program for the Johnson Elementary School at Northeastern University’s Marine Science Center (NUMSC).The collaboration was celebrated at a Thursday event, Sip & Sea, which featured touch tanks, a tour of the Northeastern facility, speakers and refreshments.The entire student body, pre-K through sixth grade, will be included in this progressive program that is tailored for each grade level.”The ability to share in this world-renowned research facility and expose our children to state-of-the-art, cutting-edge research and foster the understanding and exploration of the marine science environment in which we are all lucky to live is an exciting endeavor,” said Nahant Education Foundation President Liz Carlson.
