A Revere Police Department spokeswoman said a city officer was at home on “an authorized break” while on duty Friday morning when he accidentally shot himself in one of his legs.?The officer suffered a non life-threatening injury to his leg and was transported to the hospital,” Lt. Amy O’Hara stated in an e-mail.O’Hara said the shooting involved the officer’s service weapon.
