REVERE – Revere Police are asking the public for help after two dead puppies were found in a trash bag behind a gas station on North Shore Road Saturday night.”The Animal Rescue League has responded and obtained the puppies for further investigation,” Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara wrote in a press release Sunday. “Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Revere Police at 781-656-1114.”Police said a landscaper returned to the Sunoco at 1781 North Shore Road on Saturday night to pick up some bags of leaves he had left behind the previous day and reported finding a trash bag with two dead puppies inside.One of the puppies is tan with a black muzzle and a white spot on its chest. The second appears to be a black brindle.Pictures of the puppies are posted on the Revere Police Facebook page.”Although they are graphic, we are releasing pictures of the puppies in hopes that someone will recognize them and assist in the investigation,” police wrote on the Facebook page.
