REVERE – A local animal rights group has offered a $1,000 reward for information that could help prosecute those responsible for two dead puppies found in a trash bag in Revere last weekend.Salem Saves Animals, which is committed to fighting for justice in animal cruelty and neglect, is offering the $1,000 reward “to anyone who provides the Revere Police with information that leads to evidence that helps prosecute those responsible for the two puppies in Revere,” Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara said in an email Monday.Police said a landscaper returned to the Sunoco at 1781 North Shore Road on Saturday night to pick up some bags of leaves and reported finding a trash bag with two dead puppies inside.One of the puppies is tan with a black muzzle and a white spot on its chest. The second appears to be a black brindle.Revere Police said the investigation is ongoing.
