Orange Leaf to celebrate Saugus opening today

November 29, 2014 by Christopher D. Roberson

SAUGUS – Although the Orange Leaf store at 124 Broadway (Route 1 north) opened its doors three months ago, owner Arman Gevorgyan had to wait until noon today to celebrate his grand opening.Gevorgyan said that Augustine’s Plaza, the location of the frozen yogurt establishment, has been under construction since May. Therefore, it was not feasible to hold the event.”Sometimes there are factors that delay grand openings that are out of our control,” said company marketing analyst Katylee Strange. In addition to running the store and supervising eight employees, Gevorgyan said he is also excited to contribute to the community.”I am looking forward to hosting fundraisers and spirit nights in my store,” he said. “Orange Leaf is all about family and being involved in the community, a strong value that I share with the brand.”Gevorgyan also said he likes the bustling customer volume on Route 1. “Saugus is a pretty active location,” he said.Gevorgyan said his product line consists of 15 flavors of frozen yogurt and 50 toppings, which is consistent with other Orange Leaf locations. Customers can also use the company’s website to vote for their favorite flavors. The grand opening will feature festivities such as face painting, a balloon artist, a movie character and live music. Customers will receive 50 percent off their purchases throughout the day and will have the chance win a gift card during the hourly raffles. An iPad Air will also be raffled off when the store closes at 10 p.m.This is the seventh Orange Leaf on the North Shore following the recent closing of the Peabody location.
