SAUGUS – After receiving permission from the town to build a new softball field next to the Belmonte Middle School, the Saugus Youth & Recreation Commission is hoping to have it ready for the 2015 softball season. The field will be the home field for Saugus Little League softball, which involves hundreds of Saugus girls ages 4-16.Some of the financing has already been pledged, but more is needed. Individuals and businesses that would like to donate are asked to make checks payable to Saugus Softball Little League and send to Saugus Softball, P.O. Box 903, Saugus, MA 01906.
