December 15, 2014 by Matt Fraser

One goal was all the Lynn/Winthrop girls hockey team needed in its season-opening 1-0 victory over Peabody Saturday at Larsen Rink.

“They’re two of the best goalies in the league and both played phenomenal games,” said Bulldawgs coach Anthony Martucci, who was thrilled with his team?s defensive effort as well.
“Gretchen didn’t face many solid chances, so that’s a credit to our defensemen. (Senior captain) Kasey Harris played a great game along with (junior) Gabby Kenniston and (sophomore) Megan Chavis.”
