LYNN – Police said a Lynn resident was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital Tuesday evening for precautionary reasons after allegedly being attacked and stabbed in the face while on Washington Street.Police reported responding to the area of 172 Washington St. at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and finding a 43-year-old man with a severe cut on the side of his face going up to his eyelid, Lt. Rick Donnelly said Wednesday. The alleged victim reported he was attacked and thought he had been hit with a stick but felt something sharp and suspected he was cut with a knife, Donnelly reported.The alleged victim described the his alleged assailant as a tall Dominican man dressed all in black.Police said that the injuries were non-life-threatening; but since the cut involved the man’s eye, he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.Police said the incident remains under investigation.
