Swampscott?s Nick Scibelli picked the right time to hit his only shot of the game on Tuesday against Saugus. His three-pointer with 3.2 seconds left to go in regulation was the difference as the Big Blue escaped with a 61-60 win over the Sachems.
?It was very hard fought,” Swampscott coach Dave Born said. “Saugus played a hell of a game.”
Swampscott led 23-22 at the half and 42-38 entering the fourth quarter before the Sachems rallied. The Big Blue (1-2) got a game high 18 points from Dajour Dunkley and 17 from Travis Thurman. Saugus (2-2) was led by 17 points from Dan Bertrand along with 15 from Dan Cacciola and 11 by Lamarr Jones.

?We were a little bit sluggish in the first half but we really picked up the pressure in the third quarter,” St. Mary?s coach David Brown said. “Dennis has really been playing well for us.”
