Notre Dame of Hingham came out swinging Wednesday night and rolled over St. Mary?s, 6-1. Notre Dame scored six unanswered goals before St. Mary?s Sam Callahan put one in the net for the Spartans in the third period on an assist from Natalie Mellon.
?We have to play better in all three zones,” St. Mary?s coach Frank Pagliuca said.
?We?ve just been so inconsistent to this point. We had a good first period and then the floor kind of fell out from under us and we gave up four goals in the second.”
Pagliuca cited his players? inexperience as one of the main reasons why the Spartans have been struggling lately, and he believes that getting his players more ice time is the only way to bring back their winning tradition.
?It hasn?t gone well to this point,” said Pagliuca, “but we?re working every day to make sure we get better.”Marblehead 4, Medford 4Marblehead rallied back late in the third period to force a tie on the road in Medford.Marblehead (3-1-2) fell behind, 4-2, after a three-goal barrage by Medford to start the second period.
