A judge ordered a Boston man held without bail on charges in connection with an August murder in Lynn.Terrence Tyler pleaded not guilty in Salem Superior Court Monday to murder, home invasion and armed assault to rob in connection with the Aug. 16 death of Wilner Parisse, 32.Police responded to Parisse’s Grant Street home on Aug. 16 and found him with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.Attorneys have not discussed details of the case in open court and Salem Superior Court Judge John Lu accepted a prosecutor’s motion to seal witness statements, police reports and minutes from the grand jury. The motion indicates, however, that the case alleges Tyler and Rashad Shepherd, 25, of Lynn, and another co-defendant planned to rob Parisse. During the course of the robbery, Parisse allegedly fought back and was shot, according to court documents. The motion asks the police report, grand jury minutes and witness statements be sealed to protect the identity of a cooperating witness.Tyler’s defense attorney, Raymond Buso, said Tuesday that he would challenge the protective order, noting that Shepherd had already seen the documents in question. The motion cites this as a reason for the documents being kept out of public view.”Due to a misunderstanding by Shepherd’s counsel, Shepherd was given a copy of the police report, and within days it was widely distributed on the streets of Lynn,” the motion reads.Tyler was arrested in Florida in late October. Police arrested Shepherd earlier that month, and Shepherd remains held without bail after his district court arraignment in October. Shepherd’s Superior Court arraignment has not been scheduled, according to Essex District Attorney spokeswoman Carrie Kimball-Monahan.At the arraignment Monday, Tyler stipulated to being held without bail, but Buso said he may argue bail at a later time. (The prosecutor handling the case was on trial so another prosecutor stepped in for the arraignment.)Tyler is scheduled to return to court Jan. 28 for a pretrial hearing.
