REVERE – A city man pleaded guilty in Suffolk Superior Court to assault charges stemming from an April burglary where residents held the defendant until police arrived.Anthony Pasco, 29, pleaded guilty in Suffolk Superior Court to unarmed assault during a burglary, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery; larceny +$250; and malicious destruction of property. He was sentenced to serve four years in state prison followed by four years of probation, according to Revere Police Lt. Amy O’Hara.Revere Police responded at 11:20 p.m. April 22 to 40 Robert Road on the report of a break-in where the suspect had detained the residents. The homeowner returned from work to find his front door wide open and Pasco, who had broken into the home while the homeowner’s wife was asleep, on the living room couch.Pasco stole the woman’s cell phone and money from the kitchen, then confronted the returning homeowner, kicking and assaulting him while trying to escape. The downstairs tenant heard the scuffle and helped subdue Pasco until police arrived. Pasco was arrested and treated at Massachusetts General Hospital for various injuries.
