WRESTLING
Malden 33, Saugus 30
Saugus? tough season continued with a loss at Malden. The losses this season have come mainly because Saugus doesn?t have enough wrestlers. This forces them to not participate in four weight classes and costs them precious points at every meet.
Still, Saugus coach Rudi Howard remains positive.
?It?s tough when you have to give up four weight classes like that,” he said. “But the kids always compete well and that?s all you can ask for.”Saugus had five winners: Mike Titus (113 pounds), Jacob Meyers (152) and Luke Surette (22) each won via pinfall. Don Aldred (120) and Pat O?Boyle (126) each won by decisions.
