The Patriots are now 10-1 after running over Swampscott, 48-26, Friday night at home. Revere coach Diana DiCristoforo had nothing but good things to say about her team afterwards.
?It was really a great team defensive effort tonight,” she said. “We really focused on turning our defense into offense and defending our home court.”
Revere did that and then some, with Maritza Scott and Tiphani Harris leading the way in scoring with 12 points each. Adanna Hector also made a big impact on the court, just not on the scoreboard. Despite having no points, Hector ran the show from the point guard position and took care of the ball extremely well all night long.
Jamie Caponigro was the leading scorer for the Big Blue (5-7) with 11 points.
?I thought we played well defensively,” said Swampscott coach Katelyn Leonard. “It really just came down to us missing shots.”
Gloucester 47, Lynn English 25
Senior captain Kayla Nasser dropped 18 points and led Gloucester to an easy win over the Bulldogs. After finishing the first quarter down by a point, Gloucester turned up the defense and gave up just 19 points over the final three quarters.

English (2-10) coach Rachael Bradley was disappointed in her team?s effort.
?We had a good first quarter,” she said. “but we really didn?t come to play tonight.”
Samantha Holey led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Freshman Waleska Muriel struggled with just five points after a 32-point performance Wednesday against Saugus.
Lynn Tech 29, Northeast 23
The Tigers rallied back from a halftime deficit to defeat Northeast on the road. Lynn Tech coach Kaitlyn Wechsler was proud of her team?s defensive effort.
?Our defense was unbelievable tonight,” she said. “It was by far the best defense we?ve played all year.”
Leading that defensive charge was Jamila Constantine, who was at the point all night. She also led the offensive charge, with 11 points. Annmarie Teixeira had eight points for the Tigers and Lila Nieves chipped in five.

Peabody 51, Danvers 31
Courtney Bua led the Tanners to a 20-point victory over Danvers, with 19 points. She did a great job from the field as well as from the free throw line. The Tanners actually trailed at the half, and coach Stan McKeen said that “they really didn?t play very well in the first half.”
Things changed in the second half when the Tanners employed a full-court man defense to throw off Danvers? rhythm. It worked to perfection and Peabody held the Falcons to just four fourth-quarter points.
Marina Demild also had a nice night for the Tanners with 10 points.
Junior captain Devan Walsh led the Falcons in scoring with eight points and Hannah Llewellyn finished the game with seven points.
