The Lynn Classical swimming team used a bevy of proverbial one-two punches to prevail with a 100-66 victory over visiting Gloucester on Friday.
Eight of the Rams’ (4-3) victories in individual events featured familiar names in the top two spots, including the 100-yard butterfly, which saw Erinn Daly win with a time of 1:01.62 followed by teammate Mehdi Bakhouch (1:09.74). Daly added a win in the 200-yard freestyle (2:13.47), ahead of teammate Cameron Marcinko (2:28.42).
?We really tried to spread everybody around from event to event tonight and the kids responded to the challenge,” said Classical coach Denise Silva. “This was a very team-oriented victory. I really couldn’t be any prouder of the kids? efforts this season.”
In diving, both Sarah Sirois, with 193.55 points, and Wallace Kiongo (187.05) qualified for the states tournament.
Kevin Chasse had a pair of victories, in the 500-yard freestyle (6:01.19) and the 200-yard individual medley where his 2:28.13 bested fellow Ram, Dehimo Betri (2:41.11). But Betri placed first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:15.31), ahead of Alaina Gridley (1:26.87).
In the 50-yard freestyle, Simon Kazimierczyk (27.25) and Alex Pedro (28.15) finished first and second, respectively, while Eric Macorri (1:02.61) and Craig Morduant (1:03.66) first and second in the 100-yard freestyle.
Eli Bakas took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:23.39, ahead of Megan McCarthy (1:27.5).
Greater Lawrence 104, Lynn Tech 88
The Tigers got wins from Jake Kennedy in the 100-yard freestyle (1:05.16), Steven Paz in diving (120.22) and Nick Westin in the 200-yard individual medley (2:47.06). Joie Donnelly set the Tech girls? record in the 100-yard freestyle with a 1:15.9, good for a third-place finish in addition to a second place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:28.8).

Marblehead 11, Oakmont 0
Marblehead (4-5-2) scored five first-period goals to take control of the game. Codi Butt had a hat trick and an assist for Marblehead with Brooke Keough notching two goals and two assists. Sydney Cresta had two goals and an assist with Amanda Monahan adding a goal and three assists. Emmarose Winder chipped in a goal and two assists with Ally DiGiovanni also getting a goal. Faithe Shatford and Olivia Fusegni each had two assists.

Lynnfield 45, Peabody 6The Pioneers improved to 17-2 behind victories from Joe Morse in the 113-pound class, Kai Jean-Simon (120), Max Whyman (126), Lucas Pascucci (138), Garrett Anderson (145), Austin Bradley (182), Vitaliy Andrusyshyn (195) and Brandon Troisi (285).
