School roundup: Beverly girls, Peabody boys take NEC track titles; Classical, Marblehead swim to wins

The Beverly girls? and Peabody boys? track teams claimed the Northeastern Conference/North dual meet titles during the regular season and backed it up on Friday by winning the conference meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in West Roxbury.
The Tanners? total of 116 points easily won the boys? competition ahead of Gloucester (80) and Marblehead (55). Beverly finished with 95 points in the girls? events, besting Peabody (78) and Marblehead (68).
The girls? results were as follows:
55-meter dash: Agnes Bangura, Lynn Classical, 7.52 seconds; Gloria Kabulo, Gloucester (7.69); Desiree Martin, Salem (7.70).
300-meter race: Cynthia Aroke, Peabody (42.94); Jenn Gaudet, Classical (43.64); Anna Wargo, Classical (44.09).
600-meter race: Macayla Lachance, Peabody 1 minute 44.03 seconds; Caroline King, Gloucester (1:45.03); Sophie Anderle, Peabody (1:45.56).
1,000-meter race: Julia Curtin, Beverly (2:58.79); Nora Monahan, Beverly (3:16.78); Holly Rowe, Marblehead (3:18.39).
Mile: Abby Walsh, Beverly (5:15.24); Julianna Wesley, Beverly (5:23.72); Carly Curcuru, Gloucester (5:24.11).
Two miles: Lexi Sutyak, Beverly (11:53.24); Sarah Oliver, Marblehead (11:57.96); Christina Jones, Gloucester (11:58.58).
55-meter hurdles: Carlyn McGrath, Marblehead (8.72); Julianna Devitt, Beverly (8.94); Kendal Davy, Beverly (9.21).
4×200-meter relay: Classical (1:48.44); Marblehead (1:51.67); Peabody (1:54.92).
4×400-meter relay: Peabody (4:19.71); Beverly (4:25.14); Marblehead (4:28.03).

Shotput: Marcus Vieira, Peabody (51-2 ?); Noah Hillier, Gloucester (49-7 ?); Anthony Christo, Peabody (48-6 ?).
SWIMMING
Lynn Classical 107, Salem 78
The Rams (6-3) had six first-place finishers in their meet with Salem Friday. Classical won both the 200-yard medley relay — with the team of Simon Kazimierczyk, Kevin Chasse, Erinn Daly and Craig Mordaunt with a time of 2:03.75 — and the 400-yard freestyle relay–with the team of Daly, Mordaunt, Chasse and Eric Macorri with a time of 4:08.34.
Chasse also won two individual events with the 50-yard freestyle (24.65) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.40). Daly took the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:13.59. Sarah Sirois took first place in diving with 208.15 points.
