Mother Nature wipes out high school slate

Mother Nature once again was the big winner on Monday as yet another major snowstorm took its toll on the high school sports schedule. The most-recent storm claimed at least one casualty on the local sports calendar.The Lynn Classical at Marblehead track meet that was scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. has been cancelled. There are no available makeup dates as MIAA Divisional Championship meets begin this week.
The following events for Monday were postponed with makeup dates listed, if known
Girls? basketball:
Revere at Beverly — postponed until Feb. 10, 7 p.m.
Lynn English at Danvers — postponed until Feb. 13, 7 p.m.
St. Mary’s at Archbishop Williams — no makeup information available yet
Saugus at Swampscott — no makeup information available yet
KIPP at Pioneer Charter — no makeup information available yet
Peabody at Salem — no makeup information available yet
Boys? basketball
Beverly at Revere — postponed until Feb. 10, 7 p.m.
Lynn English at Lynn Classical — postponed until Feb. 11, 7 p.m.
Archbishop Williams at St. Mary’s — postponed until Feb. 11, 6:30 p.m.
Tech at Fenwick — postponed until Feb. 12, 6:30 p.m.
Danvers at Rockland — postponed until Feb. 19, 12:30 p.m.
Swampscott at Saugus — no makeup information available yet
KIPP at Pioneer Charter no makeup information available yet
