Jane may have got more snow than she bargained forMayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy threw Off Street Parking Commission member Jane Kelley under the proverbial bus Tuesday by noting how Kelley texted Kennedy on Jan. 24 with her gleeful reaction to reports of impending heavy snowfall: “Yea – I might get my blizzard,” she exclaimed.Three major snowstorms later, a winter-weary Kennedy replied tongue-in-cheek to Kelley, asking her, “Are you happy with all of your snow?” Kennedy poked fun at herself in Tuesday’s interview with the Item by observing that the average Lynn snowbank towers over her.”The only way to tell if I’m shoveling is to catch a glimpse of the shovel bobbing up and down above the snow,” she said.Saugus comedy fundraiser to benefit man battling leukemiaPrince Pizzeria will host a comedy show benefit for Anthony Mitrano, who is currently battling leukemia, Sunday, March 1, 6:30 p.m., at Giggles Comedy Club, 517 Broadway, Saugus. The cost is $25 and includes pizza and comedy show. The 18-and-over event will also have a cash bar.Raffles start at 6:30 p.m., and winners will be announced at 7:45 p.m. Cheese pizza will be served at 7 p.m., and the comedy show will begin at 8 p.m.There are 150 tickets available, and any unsold tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
