Lynn English dropped just its second game of the season, and it was a tough one to archrival Lynn Classical, 89-80, on Wednesday. The loss puts the Bulldogs at 15-2 this season.
To say that English head coach Mike Carr was disappointed in his team would be an understatement.
?It?s disheartening to say the least,” he said. “We just didn?t come out to play. We came out flat.”
The Bulldogs trailed the entire game, even down by 16 in the fourth quarter. They put on a bit of a rally at the end, but it was too little, too late.
?This one hurt on many levels,” Carr said. “How you don?t come to play against Classical is beyond me.”

The Spartans (13-4) came out fast and jumped to a 10-point lead after the first quarter, then coasted to victory from there.
Spartans? coach Dave Brown said that his kids were itching to get back on the court with Williams.
?The kids really came out motivated after our loss to them last time,” Brown said. “It was really nice to get the win tonight.”

?We did a really good job of limiting their offense tonight, that was huge for us,” Salem coach Tom Doyle said.
Matt Correale was the only Tanner in double figures, finishing with 19 points and five steals. Moise Irizary also had a great night, just missing a double-double (nine points, 11 rebounds).

The Patriots picked up their second win of the season against rival Chelsea behind the two-headed monster of Tommy Chea and Romeo Thomas. Thomas came out hot, hitting five three-pointers in the first quarter to catapult Revere to a 10-point lead after one.
?Once we came out hot like that, that was it,” Revere coach Adam Rizzo said. “We pretty much played with a 10-point lead the rest of the way.”
Thomas finished the game with 23 points, while Chea dropped 21.
