St. Mary’s colleagues recognize Gill’s masterful achievementThere was more to celebrate than finally having school in session Wednesday at St. Mary’s, as Joe Gill’s co-workers – including his mother, Pat – surprised him with a cake to commemorate his completing courses for a master’s degree.Gill will graduate in May from Southern New Hampshire University with a master’s in communications with a concentration in public relations. He completed his final courses in December.A 2013 graduate of Saint Anselm College – where he was a three-time class president – Gill is assistant director of alumni relations at St. Mary’s. He is a 2009 SMH graduate, having played soccer for four years. He is an assistant boys’ soccer coach at the school.He has made no secret of his desire to someday serve as an elected official in Lynn. We wouldn’t bet against him.
