Good luck to three Classical scholarsClassical High School seniors Kayla Barnes and Christine Alcalde are competing with students across the country to become Torch scholars, entitling them to full scholarships at Northeastern University.The pair will interview at Northeastern on Friday, and Barnes said they anticipate finding out next month if they are scholarship recipients. Classical Principal Gene Constantino said 50 students are picked from the national scholarship application pool.Classical senior Pamela Chet is also in the scholarship hunt as a semifinalist for a full scholarship at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth.Calling all potential foster parentsHave you ever thought about being a foster parent? Plummer Foster Care will be holding an information session on Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lynn Public Library, 5 North Common St. There will be an informal Q&A about foster parenting. Fulton, SJ chapter of the National Honor Society at the Hunter-Fahey Commons on Jan. 22.As the new members of the National Honor Society came to the stage, they received congratulations and certificates from Principal Stephen Hughes and Assistant Principal Charles Drane.
