A monthly student awards program (January through May) that recognizes students from all Lynn’s middle schools who are nominated by their teachers for their ability to overcome adversity and show extraordinary academic improvement.? The games are held in May at Lynn Tech, and the children and staff wear “Game Day” T-shirts.? Rotary provides Lynn Public School third-graders with their own appropriate-level dictionaries for use in the classroom and at home. In some cases this is the first book the child has ever owned. The organization provides more than 1,200 dictionaries annually.? Rotary offers financial support for veterans who reside at Habitat Plus in Lynn. The contributions have been used for new gas grills or for residents to go out to dinner at a restaurant during the holiday season.? Rotary offers scholarships to seniors attending each of the Lynn public high schools who are pursuing a college education.? The Lynn club also provides opportunities for children who could not otherwise afford it to attend our Camp Rotary in Boxford, to enjoy a week of summer camp activities.
