REVERE – A Boston and Chicago man were arrested and each charged with drug trafficking after police reported finding more than 650 grams of suspected heroin in the defendants’ car.Charl Eliot Soto, 31, of Roxbury, and Antonio Nava-Cardona, 38, of Chicago, were arrested and each pleaded not guilty to trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium; and conspiracy to violate drug laws Monday in Chelsea District Court.State Police reported stopping a 2004 Volvo for a motor vehicle violation at approximately 3:47 p.m. Friday on Walnut Street.Soto was the driver and Nava-Cardona was the passenger, police said. A K-9 unit assisted in the stop and found a hidden compartment in the vehicle. Police said they found approximately 655 grams of suspected heroin in the compartment.Each were held on $50,000 over the weekend.A prosecutor requested $250,000 cash bail for each defendant, according to a spokesman for the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. Chelsea District Court Judge Matthew Machera imposed $200,000 cash bail on each defendant. Both defendants are due back in court April 8.
