Lifelong Lynner celebrates 95th birthdayLifelong Lynn resident Dorothy Macaione recently celebrated her 95th birthday with, from left, her great-granddaughter Ashleigh Girard of Northboro, great-grandson Ryan Amirault of Lynn and grandson Paul Amirault of Lynn. Macaione resides at St. Theresa’s House, where she is one of the original residents. She remains very active, working with many local community and charitable organizations. She loves going down memory lane with old stories of the city she loves. And Macaione especially enjoys telling schoolyard tales of her days at Sewell-Anderson Elementary, where her grandson Ryan is currently a student and where she was a student more than 90 years ago.Take a trip for ?Kinky Boots’Lynn Parks and Recreation is organizing a trip to see “Kinky Boots,” the winner of six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.Based on a true story and independent movie of the same name, “Kinky Boots” is a musical that follows young Brit Charlie Price, who returns to his family’s struggling shoe factory and teams up with the drag queen Lola to create ladies’ shoes for men.Written by four-time Tony winner Harvey Fierstein and with a score by Grammy winner Cyndi Lauper, the show is coming to Boston this summer.Join Lynn Parks and Recreation for a performance on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $95 per person and include transportation.
