The second day of the Lynn Elementary Basketball Tournament at Pickering Middle School packed plenty of excitement.
The day?s opening game proved to be the most exciting as Harrington rallied from behind in the second half to take a 35-34 win over Ingalls.
Ali Barry led all scorers with 16 points for Harrington in the win. Alex Sylla added 11 for the victors while Cristian Macario had 10 and Ray Contreras, nine, for Ingalls.
Harrington advances to face Cobbet on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Next up was a girls? Division 2 battle that saw Tracy cruise to a 16-4 win over Washington. Roselyn Chheany and Norelys Mendez each had six for the winners.
Eliana Portral and Theresa Desmond were high scorers for Washington. Tracy?s next game will be against Brickett on Saturday at 3 p.m.
In the final boys? game of the day, Sisson?s Eagles took care of Ford?s Falcons, 24-9, thanks to eight points from Jason Asemota and six by Jesse Maggs. Joshua St. Jean scored all nine of Ford?s points.
Sisson advances to face Connery next Friday at 4:30 p.m.
The final game of the day saw girls? Division 3 power Sewell-Anderson reach the finals with a 20-12 win over Shoemaker. Nakayla Espinal was a one-woman wrecking crew for Sewell as she scored 16 of her team?s 20 points.Maria Orfanos and Gianna Nikolakakis each scored six for Shoemaker. Sewell-Anderson plays in the title game next Saturday at 10 a.m.
