Lynn girl reported missing home safe

LYNN – Lynn Police said that a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing March 11 had returned home safely Monday morning.Panagiota “Penny” Papageorgiou, 17, was reported missing by her family on March 11 after she failed to call her mother for a ride home from school.The family found letters from Papageorgiou saying she was sorry but was leaving. Papageorgiou was last seen March 13 by English High School, and her family contacted The Item last week to relay that they loved her and wanted her to return.Lynn Police spokesman Lt. Rick Donnelly reported that Papageorgiou returned home around 8 a.m. Monday.
