BOSTON – A judge allowed a Lynn man to remain free on charges he pulled a gun on two pedestrians during an alleged road-rage incident in Revere.Johnny Villada, 29, of Lynn, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Chelsea District Court to charges of assault with a dangerous weapon; and threats to commit a crime.State troopers received a report of threats made at gunpoint in Revere at approximately 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said in a press release.A 29-year-old female and 33-year-old man from Revere told police they got into an argument with the driver of a Toyota RAV4 that nearly hit them while they were in a crosswalk at the intersection of Broadway and Revere Beach Parkway. The driver allegedly showed the two a small, black firearm and threatened to shoot them. The alleged victims described the man and the car he was driving, which bore a crooked Florida license plate, Conley said.Other troopers subsequently stopped Villada driving a vehicle on Furlong Drive that matched the alleged victims’ description. Police found a Smith & Wesson .38 firearm inside the car, which Villada was properly licensed to carry. The alleged victims identified Villada as the suspect, according to police.Villada allegedly said that he had been threatened by the male victim, who was carrying a knife. Troopers did not find a knife on the man, police said.Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Myriam Feliz requested Villada be held on $5,000 bail. Judge Michael Patten released Villada on his own recognizance. Villada is scheduled to return to court May 11.
