PEABODY – Police charged a Peabody man with murder after the man allegedly beat his estranged wife to death Friday.Joseph Buonanduci, 46, is accused of killing his estranged wife, Donna Buonanduci, 45, on FridayDonna Buonanduci had reportedly drove to her estranged husband’s home at 5 Putnam Road earlier on Friday. Police said in a statement that the couple’s son hadn’t heard from his mother and went to his father’s home and saw evidence of a violent struggle. The son called police at around 9 p.m. and police found Donna Buonanduci’s body.Joseph Buonanduci was gone and had taken the victim’s car.Police arrested the suspect at 9:55 a.m. Saturday on Route 495 North in Amesbury near Exit 55 after a high speed chase beginning on Route 93 southbound in Methuen. The suspect was taken to Anna Jacques Hospital for injuries sustained in an accident after he allegedly drove over a strip of spikes police placed in the road to end the chase.Joseph Buonanduci is scheduled to be arraigned in Peabody District Court Monday. The Essex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police and Peabody Police are investigating the incident.
