LYNN – The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking up its heels for local businesswomen.The chamber has designed a series of events in hopes of bringing businesswomen together to enhance and promote their endeavors. The series is called WIN – Women In Networking – and it held its first event of the year, History and High Heels, at the Lynn Museum and Historical Society last month.?The series is about five years old and every year it gets better and better,” said Leslie Gould, president and CEO of the Lynn chamber.?We are trying to create events for women so they can utilize resources, share information, inspire each other and help them become better professionals,” Gould said.Paula Koumoundouros, a Lynn native, was a guest speaker. She is currently designing shoes for Jimlar in New York – which is considered a leader in the footwear industry.?It was wonderful to come home and be able to visit and speak to local women about my journey,” she said.?An added bonus was having my loved ones there to support me. It was so inspiring to talk with the other women in attendance and have them share their own passions and experiences,” she said.Yulia Entina, assistant manager of the shoe department at Nordstrom?s in Peabody, also spoke.?I enjoyed it so much,” she said. “It was great to see so many women come out and share their ideas.
