The Marblehead girls? tennis team improved to 4-1 with a perfect 5-0 victory over Lynn English on Monday.
The Magicians’ Meg Ryan at first singles and Julia Channing at second singles won their respective matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Lily Frontero was victorious at third singles (6-1, 6-0).
Meghan Hanratty and Hannah Collins won at first doubles (6-1, 6-0). English made things close in second doubles, but the pairing of Lindsay Walker and Sammi Tilbert came out on top (6-4, 6-0).
?We?re doing great,” said Magicians? coach Catherine Castoldi. “We?re in really good shape. Our one loss was an anomaly, since we were missing our top three players, two due to injury, in the loss. But we?re feeling good.”

The Spartans (4-6) got victories from first singles Kelly Harrington and second singles Christina Hallisey. Hannah Bernardo won her third singles? match (6-3, 6-4). In first doubles, Julie Shea and Kristin Tansey won (6-2, 6-1), while Adelina Katzounos and Haleigh King won second doubles.
Danvers 5, Revere 0
The Revere girls (0-8) were defeated by Danvers on Monday, with sophomore and first singles Jocelyn Contreras losing (6-1, 6-1), second singles and fellow sophomore Hanadi Kobilic fell (6-1, 6-3), and senior Leila Darouey dropped the third singles? match (6-1, 6-2).
In first doubles, Lyba Khan and Yolani Granados fell (6-1, 6-2). Sophomores Alondra Esparza and Maria Hernandez lost (6-0, 6-1) in the second doubles? matchup.Beverly 5, Winthrop 0
The Panthers (4-2) saw a great performance in the third singles, with Caroline Jellerson winning (6-0, 6-2). Madison Tremblay won a hard-fought match in second singles (6-2, 3-6, 6-2), and Sophie Claus won her first singles match (6-4, 6-1). The pair of Carly Blydeau and Juliet Silveira won first doubles (6-4, 6-2), while Kyra Kennedy and Ali Lewendowski took second doubles by the same score.
Lynnfield 5, Triton 0
The Lynnfield girls (7-0) continue to dominate. Sarah Mezini was the winner in first singles (6-0, 6-1) and Katie Nevils swept the third singles match. Izzy Figucia played a close match in the second singles, (6-0, 4-6, and winning the tiebreaker, 10-4). The Pioneers looked strong in the doubles? matches, with sweeps from Olivia Skelley and Katie Nugent in first doubles, and Kayla Collins and Melanie Richard in second doubles.
Austin Prep 5, Fenwick 0
The Crusaders? (4-2) Megan McGunigle and Hannah Klein forced a tiebreaker in the first doubles, before falling 6-7, 6-1.
