LYNN – Dumpster Day for Lynn residents with valid driver’s licenses is this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lynn DPW, 250 Commercial St.This is not open to commercial businesses, contractors or non-Lynn residents. Paint, hazardous materials or construction materials are not allowed.Old barrels will also be taken on this day for those who missed the drop-off dates last year.A disposal fee will be charged for TVs ($15), CRT monitors ($15) and propane tanks ($5).Residents are limited to disposing three of each item.Stickers will be issued authorizing drop-offs and can be purchased Saturday or in advance at the Lynn DPW. Television sets, CRT monitors and propane tanks may also be dropped off every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Turner Trucking, located next to the DPW, will take refrigerators and air conditioners for a possible fee.The leaf and yard waste area will also be open during this time if you cannot wait for curbside leaf pickup the week of May 11.For more information, call 781-477-7099 or 781-268-8000.
