Witnesses: Teen assaults mom outside Revere DMV

REVERE – Witnesses say a fight erupted in the parking lot of the Revere Registry of Motor Vehicles last week after a teenager was upset she didn?t pass her driving test.The juvenile will be arraigned in court.Witnesses said an assault that began as verbal between a mother and her daughter became physical.?Six cruisers arrived on the scene,” according to reports.Tony Llama, RMV branch manager, said the dispute occurred outside of the RMV premises.?The fight occurred outside the branch in the parking lot, and witnesses went inside to ask management to call the police when the dispute escalated,” Llama said.Lt. Amy O?Hara said the dispute grew when the juvenile asked her mother if she could drive to Salem since she was in the presence of a legal Massachusetts driver.?In Massachusetts, drivers can operate with a permit if under the presence of a licensed driver,” according to reports.But when her mother refused, the juvenile became angrier.?The daughter assaulted her mother,” O?Hara said. “Then, she grabbed some sort of a rock that was in the trunk and smashed the window. She fled the scene.”
